Born in Massena, N.Y., she was an art teacher for Keaau High School and Seton Catholic High School, Plattsburgh, N.Y., U.S. Army veteran and member of Church of the Holy Apostles, Hilo, and Christ and St. John’s Episcopal Church, Champlain, N.Y.
