Marcella Maxine Ashenfelter, 94, of Kailua-Kona died Aug. 26. Born in Boise, Idaho, she was a legal secretary. Memorial services 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Kailua-Kona. Mildred “Millie” Yachiyo Mukai, 89, of Hilo died Aug. 16 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Kona, she was retired from the county Meals on Wheels program and worked at the former family business, Fountainette. Visitation 4-5 p.m. Wednesday (Sept. 13) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service at 5 p.m. Casual attire. Survived by sons, Dwayne “Tang” (Priscilla) Mukai of Keaau and Bertram “Bert” Mukai of Hilo; daughter, Colette “Coco” Mukai of Honolulu; brother-in-law, Earl Mukai of Keaau; sisters-in-law, Lorraine Sueoka, Jane Hurtle and Sarah Bernabe of Honolulu, Hiroko Kujubu and Mary Mukai of Hilo, Frances Fernendez of California, Puanani Mukai of Keaau; five grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Adrian Raganit Pascual, 41, of Honolulu died Aug. 27 in Honolulu. Born in Hilo and raised in North Kohala, he was a U.S. Marine Corps sergeant, combat photographer and Iraq War veteran. Visitation 10:30-11:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, at Borthwick Mortuary Mauka Chapel, 1330 Maunakea St., Honolulu. Funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Burial with full military honors 9:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 18, at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl), Honolulu. Survived by mother, Perpetua Raganit Pascual; sister, Jackelyn (Arnold) Fajayan; brothers, Madonel (Susie) Pascual, George (Kenneth Bauchle) Pascual, Alexander (Hazel Llarena) Pascual and Matias C. (Maria Teresa) Pascual Jr.; nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
